TRIBAL FREEDOM FIGHTERS OF INDIA
BABA TILKA MAJHI :
Baba Tilka Majhi was the first Tribal Leader who took up arms against British in the year 1748. He was the first Martyr of India,around 100 years before Mangal Pandey. He organized the Tribal People to form an arm group against the British.
BIR SIDU KANHU :
Bir Sidhu Murmu &
Bir Kanhu Murmu were the greatest Santhal Rebellion ( 1855 - 1856 ) along with their brothers Chand & Bhairav.
On 30th june,1855 Sidhu & Kanhu mobilized near about 10,000 people and declared a rebellion against British at Bhagnadih, Jharkhand. The day is still celebreted among the Santal Communities with great respect and spirit for the thousands of Santal Martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the freedom.
BIR BIRSA MUNDA :
Bir Birsa Munda was a Indian Tribal Freedom Fighter in year ( 1875 - 1900 ) . He was born on 15th november 1875 at Ulihuta,Dist - Khunti, India. He was a Folk Hero among the Munda Community. He died on 9th june 1900. His Potrait is hanged on The Central Hall of the INDIAN PARLIAMENT, the only Tribal leader to have been so honored.
